Scholarship title: Texting and Driving Awareness Scholarship

The risk of crashing a car increases 23 times if the driver is texting. In response, DoSomething.org partnered up with Sprint to start Thumb Wars, a national campaign to get young people to stop texting while driving. The campaign will run from June 19th to August 2nd. To be eligible for the $2,000 scholarship, go to www.ThumbWars.org and help Sprint and DoSomething.org spread awareness by sharing astonishing facts about texting and driving with 5 friends. No minimum GPA and no essay required. You must be between 13 and 25 years of age and be a U.S. or Canadian citizen to be considered for this award.
