Scholarship title: LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program

The nonprofit LIFE Foundation sponsors the LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program for college students and college-bound high school seniors who have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian. The Program is open only to legal residents of the United States, who are between 17 and 24, and are currently enrolled in, or have been accepted to, a college, university or trade school. Qualified entrants who submit essays or videos about how the death of a parent or guardian impacted their lives are eligible for in grand prize scholarship of $15,000. The total amount of all scholarships is $175,000. LIFE awards LIFE Lessons Scholarships once a year. Typically, applications are solicited during the February/March time frame and scholarship recipient are notified in late summer.
